Our Projects
We are working on two advanced technologies to propel marine sustainability forward.
Hydrogen fuels our journey while magneto hydrodynamics propels us forward.
Hydrogen Fuel Cell
The Hydrogen fuel cell team is currently working on developing a model with accurate electro-chemical relations.
In addition to optimization, the team is currently working on developing an energy management system to be used for the boat. In our current configuration, the boat will include a battery powering the boat that is being constantly re-charged by the fuel cell. To ensure efficient operation, the management system will be implemented to keep the charge level of the battery constant at all times.
MagenotoHydrodynamic Drive
The Magnetohydrodynamic drive is an innovative, silent propulsion technology that leverages the interaction between magnetic and electric fields to generate a Lorentz force, pushing the vessel forward without the need for moving mechanical parts.
The MHD team is currently working on making a prototype using neodymium magnets. Using simulations, we aim to optimize the unit’s geometry and orientation before advancing to High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) magnets for improved performance.
